Raks Kiz - (Dance Sisters) is a belly dance troupe based out of Englewood, CO
Raks Kiz is Turkish for "Dance Sisters", which is the true bond that we celebrate with each other. The sisters include, Adina, Sharah, and Brooke (currently on hiatus).
Sharah
As a belly dancer in the Denver area for the past 14 years, I have had the privilege to learn from some of Denver's finest including (but certainly not limited to) Sitara, Suzara, Phoenix, Rafi'ah and most recently Suzanna Del Vecchio. I have also had the privilege of particpating in workshops with nationally acclaimed dancers such as Princess Farhana and Maliah Delapena. As a performer I am available for private parties and group performances as an individual dancer or with my troupe mates in Raks Kiz. As an instructor I am available for private, semi-private and group instruction. Contact me about current studio locations and rates.
Adina
I have been dancing since before I can remember...but Belly Dancing won my heart as an adult....While signing up my kids for a dance class (they needed some activity).... on a whim I signed up for a belly dance class as it fit into my crazy new mom schedule. It filled a space in my heart. Besides movement, exercise and dancing... I found a community of women, sister in dance, to move, celebrate and share with. The joy that comes from sharing time with my dance sisters is comparable to nothing else. To share, learn, communicate and just be brings not only confidence, but camaraderie. Not a day goes by I am not thankful for the women I dance with.

We started as three friends from dance class who realized the similarities in our love and joy of dance as well as the need to maintain our personal lives and devotion to our families. With the understanding that we are here for each other, for the dance as well as to educate and entertain pressure free, we formed a troupe! Independently we have a combined nearly 30 years of dance, but as a troupe we are very young and getting started with performances across the metro area.
